On to today’s topic “A Gentleman’s game.”
Your grandfather knew this concept as “chivalry,” but over the years and thanks to some overzealous activists, the idea has fallen somewhat from our societal grace. Originating in the middle ages, the term chivalry was first associated with Knights and their code of conduct.
Over time it has been distilled down to a point now where it’s most often referred to in conjunction with men and how they should treat women.

What do you mean how men “should” treat women? Shouldn’t you just treat them like everyone else?
To the untrained ear, this logic sounds correct. But it’s wrong and one of the reason’s you’re still single. Let’s break it down.
Men and women are DIFFERENT. So treating them like anything other than WOMEN (bro’s, workout buddies, poker buddies, Fantasy sports teammates, coworkers, fellow game nerds, etc.) will NOT advance you down the road to a real relationship!
The modern day concept of chivalry can best be explained in terms of attitudes and actions. We believe chivalry is best expressed when men respect, protect and are benevolent to women. Yes, that’s a lot of words. We’ll simplify.
Respect: Beyond the basics of considering them an equal, respect acknowledges and values a woman’s unique set of qualities and God-given attributes. Ironically, and by design, these inherent strengths often differ from those of men.
Protect: Regardless of our society’s attempt to hack the facts, Biology and Physics still rule the day. As an example, on average, men are physically stronger than women. Not better, stronger. The most basic purpose of this stat can and should be demonstrated in the literal protection of women. Evil is real and evil people really do exist.
A man’s strength can also serve to do physical things most women cannot, or prefer not too. Chivalrous men lift heavy stuff, move things out of the way, and physically deflect danger from the presence of a lady. This is our divinely inspired instinct and we encourage you to follow it.
Benevolence: Doing something good, acting in kind ways and giving generous gifts.
Although some activists yell about chivalry, most women secretly love it. Honestly, who wouldn’t want to be made to feel special or cared for in a genuine way?
Note: We’re not asking you to leave your manhood behind. You can still be tough, adventurous and goal-oriented. A full-on “dude” in the classic sense of the word. In fact we encourage you to be whatever manly man you can be. Research even confirms that women find this attractive. Just ensure the ways you speak and act towards your lady friends are consistent with a chivalrous mindset.

Open the door for them. Car doors, building doors, whatever. It’s not that they can’t, it’s that you are showing esteem and literally honoring them by doing it.
ALWAYS pay for dates. No exceptions, no excuses, just man up and do it. If you’re low on cash do free stuff on your dates or borrow enough to buy her a coffee. Remember post #1, ladies value security and one aspect is of that is financial. They want to know you’re investing in this relationship.
Offer to carry their bags or luggage or anything cumbersome or difficult. It’s a move of sincere kindness most ladies will instantly accept. Girls who try to shame you or won’t accept a gracious offer are telling you they’re not “the one.” Move on.
Show them your respect and honor by your actions as you do things to make their life easier. Demonstrate your wit and intellect by using words with more than four letters. Any punk can weave a web of cuss-words. A man of virtue, a man “going places” in his life, learns how to use words like a painter uses color. He expresses his ideas, thoughts and plans with creativity and care.
Elevate your game by allowing women to see and hear that you value them and recognize them as special creations of God. This does not mean you always agree with them and do what they want. Part of being a man is having a solid opinion and ideas of your own. The keys are how and when you communicate your perspectives.
If you adopt these pro tips, your stock will rise in the eyes of a women you are pursuing. You will be instantly separated from the other schlubs who are competing with you for her attention.
